Turkey Rod Run Auto Experience

The ultimate and most famous car show America has to offer and it's right here in our backyard at the Daytona International Speedway. This weekend was a car lover's dream. We brought the whole gang out there (4 kids) to see what a family experience was like, and it did not disappoint. I will break our experience down into a few small sections to illustrate why you should go check it out if you haven't already.

Family Fun. Yes, the speedway is huge and that means a lot of walking. The kids typically get bored or start complaining when we do things like this, but low and behold they had awesome family "pit stops". We found multiple playgrounds, gaming stations, and plenty of vendors selling food and drinks to keep everyone from getting hangry. We even made a stop to see all the neon shop lights for sale, which the kids loved.

Cool Cars. Lots and Lots of cool cars. We saw completely custom vehicles, restoration projects, dream cars, and hilariously placed throughout the show would be a random daily driver for sale. Be careful! There are as many good deals out there as we saw bad deals and it's important to be able to differentiate so you don't take a big L when purchasing a vehicle. I put together some favorites in the gallery below out of the hundreds we took!

It's a Thanksgiving holiday break and the first thing that comes to my mind is food. They had food trucks, tents, and vendors placed everywhere. We stopped twice during our venture to grub down and it was delicious! I had the normal cheeseburger and fries combo. I tasted my wife's steak and cheese meal. The kids snacked on hot dogs and easy hand held food items. I had to keep the mission rolling so we could see as many cars as possible!!

DID YOU KNOW? You can rent little scooter carts and cruise around in style. The place is enormous and if there is one thing I'm changing for next year this is it. I caught a glimpse of a scooter gang with their own portable speaker and they were having a blast. I hope to see you all out there next time!!
