Auto A/c Services
Since 1977, Reilly Auto Repair has been Ice Cold Auto Air of Daytona Beach — the trusted name for expert automotive air conditioning repair and service. For nearly 50 years, our ASE-certified technicians have kept Volusia County drivers cool and comfortable through Florida’s brutal summers. We specialize in everything from simple recharges to complex evaporator core replacements that require pulling the entire dash. Whether you drive a Chevy, BMW, Jeep, or any other make, we use the latest diagnostic equipment and hold certifications for both R-134a and R-1234yf refrigerants. When your A/C blows warm, trust the shop that has been keeping Daytona Beach cool since 1977.
A/C Check
A/C Diagnosis
Our comprehensive A/C performance check is the most important first step. Using professional-grade diagnostic tools, we test system pressures, temperature output, and scan for error codes in minutes. We inspect the compressor, condenser, evaporator, expansion valve, and all lines for leaks, blockages, or failing components. Most shops guess — we diagnose with precision so you only pay for what’s actually needed.
Common symptoms we diagnose daily:
-
A/C blows warm or lukewarm air
-
Weak or no airflow from vents
-
Clicking, grinding, or unusual noises when A/C is on
-
Musty odor or foggy windows
-
A/C works intermittently
Evacuate,
Vacuum,
Recharge
A proper evacuate and recharge is far more than “just adding Freon.” We completely evacuate the system, pull a deep vacuum to remove all moisture and air, then recharge with the exact amount and type of refrigerant your vehicle requires (R-134a or the newer R-1234yf). This process restores maximum cooling performance and prevents future compressor damage caused by moisture.
We also install UV dye during the recharge so any future leaks are easy to find — saving you time and money down the road.
A/C Compressor
A/C Evaporator Core
When the A/C compressor fails or the evaporator core leaks behind the dash, you need true specialists. At Reilly Auto Repair we regularly perform full dash removals to replace evaporator cores — a job most shops avoid. We also install complete A/C compressor kits (compressor, condenser, dryer, expansion valve, and oil) when needed. Our technicians have decades of experience on every make and model, including European vehicles through our official European Department.
We use only high-quality, warranty-backed parts so your A/C stays ice cold for years to come.
